We will meet at the BBQ tent on Camp 1 Road at 9:AM sharp, PLEASE BE ON TIME!!  New members can get to know the club land thru the "old timers" that we have in the club. They are a wealth of info and are willing to share it with you. You may find out where all the gates are or the best hunting and fishing spots are. Last year Chuck Parker attended and said " it was the best time he ever had on the club land". All are welcome please let Lou McNett or Gary Crawford know you will be coming.

Gun Raffle: Dave Dano announced the raffle is set for 30 of the 31 days in October, as it cannot run for more than 30 days. Tickets will come out in August. Sharpshooters is pricing out the gun selection. If you want specific numbers please email Charlene Dano at: c-dano@hotmail.com.

Sportsman’s Federation Report: Our lawmakers are busy proposing various bills that will affect your hunting rights and privileges. Chuck Parker reported that the money sportsmen pay each year to hunt is a substantial number and our elected officials understand the potential impact we could have. But if we do not pay attention to these changes and write letters to our officials, our hunting seasons can be drastically changed. Notice:

From security: people are not allowed to prop open gates to allow people to visit their campsites. The east and west gates were found open during the 4th of July weekend. The landowner has made it clear they do not want to find any of the gates open. Please do not risk our land. If you are expecting company then meet them at the gates.

A club member reported that a large number of people were camped out at Strawberry Lake. Only one of them was a club member. Per the clubs rules members are allowed to bring a guest on the property to fish or hunt but the rules state one member/ one guest for hunting or fishing. You can have a group to camp during the summer but they should not be fishing or hunting as this violates our rules.

Trout Derby: We had a good turnout for the derby. Owen Hert Holtz was the 1st place winner with an 8-½ inch brookie.  His name is placed on the plaque in the clubhouse. 12 children attended and each went home with a rod and reel plus some lures. Thirty trout were caught and entered in the derby.
