The
regular meeting started at 8:00 with Lou McNett chairing the meeting.

AND AILING:

Capital
Improvement Fund: THANK
YOU TO ALL who
have sent in donations to date! We are putting them to work. The
rough framing / wiring / plumbing / insulation all
are well underway or completed as you read this newsletter. The
plywood on the floor was rotted and all had to be removed and replaced.
Thanks to great crew they worked very
hard and we’re well on our way. We still need a lots of help with
-sheet rock- painting and flooring so please contact Gary Crawford

Family
Picnic: The
family picnic has been cancelled.
The bathrooms will not be complete and the chairman had to step
down for job reasons. Hopefully we can have a picnic next year. The club
will be looking for a chairman for next year.
Gun
Raffle: Brian, Dave and Charlene Dano have stepped up to run the gun
raffle.

Bass Derby:

Register on Friday 6-8 PM, Sat. 6AM- 5PM, Sun.6AM- 10AM. at the event.

Children’s Bass Derby fishing
event is free to all!!!
WHO:
All kids up to 16 years old with a club member sponsor.
All friends of a MRC club member welcome.
WHAT:
The longest bass, perch, pickerel, sunny/bluegill – All fish will
be released after
weighed-in
HOURS:
Fishing starts at 6 AM Saturday and Sunday.
Fish each day until 11 AM. Break
for lunch and games until 2:00pm. Resume
fishing until 6 PM on Saturday. Prizes
will be awarded at 1 PM on Sunday. Need
not be present.

Get
to Know the Club Day: will be August 20 along with the 4 wheeler weekend. New
members can get to know the club land thru the "old timers" that
we have in the club. They are a wealth of info and are willing to share it
with you. You may find out where all the gates are or the best hunting and
fishing spots are. We'll have a meeting time and place in
the next newsletter. Last year Chuck Parker attended and said " it
was the best time he had ever had on the club land". All are welcome
please let Lou Mcnett or Gary Crawford know you will be coming.
BY-LAWS
CHANGE: A
change has been proposed to Article VI Membership, section C.
The
current wording is as follows;
A
child, grandchild, son or daughter-in-law of a Member who has had a
continuous membership for five or more years immediately prior to the
child’s application for Membership shall have preference for Membership
and be voted for Membership in the order each child’s application is
received prior to other applications.
If elected the child’s application fee is waived.
The
proposed change will read as follows with the changes to the last
sentence:
A

received prior to other applications.
Spouse, children, and grandchildren the application fee is waived.
ITEMS
OF INTEREST:
Oswego
County Fair: MRC is looking for volunteers to man the booth at the fair.
The fair dates are June 30th to July 4th. Contact
Chuck Parker (963-8413 or
aparker@twcny.rr.com) if you would like to volunteer. This is a good way
to get in a workday.
Archery:
An archery committee has been formed to set up an archery shoot for next
year. If you would like to take part in this committee please contact Bill
Killam (387-3350 or Dick Brock
782-5977)

From
Gutchess Lumber company: No
firewood is to be brought onto any Gutchess Property or taken off any
property. Club members can cut firewood on the property from downed trees.
No standing timber is to be cut. Also, no stone is to be removed from
Gutchess property.
The
school bus located on the southern end of property will be removed by
August 1st.
Notice:
A camper has been on the Tsueda property for over 3 years. The
owner of this camper has 30 days to move this camper. If the camper is not
moved, the club must move this camper off the property. If the owner of
this camper has any questions please contact a board member so this issue
can be resolved.
Lease
Lands: the Flickenstein lease has been approved.
Volunteers
are needed for the following: Audit committee (You do not have to have any
special training) as part of the committee you will be given some training
on how to conduct an audit.
The
public dinners the club runs (4 dinners) will be postponed until the
bathrooms are finished.
Announcement
from Gutchess Lumber: Foresters will be inspecting the lands owned by
Gutchess from April 4th through June 15th 2011. They
will be working periodically in the forest and using the road systems.
This is to let members know to be aware of this and as always to
use caution while turkey hunting and general land use.
Classifieds: If anyone is
interested in selling or buying sporting goods, the newsletter can post
the ads. Just drop the editor an e-mail and it will be added to the next
